LOINC, SNOMED and other coding systems are being utilized to provide longitudinal consistency and to facilitate efficient and correct interpretation of laboratory results from community-based labs. Enabling laboratory systems that have not mapped to these standard codes, PHIL provides the cross reference map to uncoded, non-standard codes, and other codes to the coding systems used by the County Department of Public Health (CDPH). Atlas offers this tool as an option for CDPH and their community laboratories to effectively cross-reference and drive inter- and intra- lab data reporting and communication for standards compliance and rapid implementation of new coding standards.
